CMC Clears 347 Encroachments Under Walk Free Drive

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Saturday cleared 18.8 km of footpaths, removing 347 encroachments as part of its 'Walk Free' initiative.

The drive was carried out across the corporation's three zones—Serilingampally, Kukatpally and Quthbullapur. In the Serilingampally Zone alone, officials cleared 8.3 km of footpaths and removed 123 encroachments.

According to the CMC, the 'Walk Free' campaign will continue every week to keep roads, footpaths and public spaces free of encroachments while encouraging public participation in maintaining a clean, safe and pedestrian-friendly urban environment.
