Hyderabad:Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to expedite construction of the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (Tims) hospitals at LB Nagar and Alwal, the Warangal super-specialty hospital and the new Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad. He said doctors, support staff and advanced medical equipment must be available when the facilities become operational.

He issued the directions at a review meeting with Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) officials to assess education and healthcare services across the state.

Reviewing the hospital projects, Revanth Reddy instructed Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju to assess staffing requirements and initiate recruitment well in advance to prevent shortages when the hospitals open.

He also reviewed the procurement of advanced medical equipment and arrangements to ensure that the hospitals provide comprehensive medical services from the outset.

The Chief Minister directed district collectors to visit government schools, social welfare hostels and hospitals regularly to assess facilities and identify problems requiring immediate attention.

Collectors and other officials were asked to conduct weekly district-level reviews of infrastructure and facilities in government schools. He directed them to undertake necessary repairs promptly to ensure a safe and conducive environment for students.

Officials were also instructed to remain alert to seasonal diseases and take timely preventive measures. Revanth Reddy stressed the need for regular monitoring to ensure that government institutions function effectively and problems affecting students and patients are addressed promptly.

CMO officials briefed him on preparations for the Invest Telangana Global Summit-2026, scheduled to be held at Bharat Future City in December.

Revanth Reddy said he would inspect the arrangements soon and directed officials to prepare detailed plans covering infrastructure, guest arrangements and investment-related activities. He called for coordination among the departments concerned to ensure the summit’s success and facilitate investment proposals.

MP Vem Narendar Reddy, the Chief Minister’s adviser K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, DGP C.V. Anand and senior CMO officials attended the meeting.
