Revanth Reddy gave specific instructions on consolidating the party at the grassroots level and preparing effectively for the remaining local body elections: Reports
ADILABAD: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday reviewed sarpanch election results and party performance with Congress MLAs Vedma Bojju of Khanapur and Gaddam Vinod of Bellampalli, along with Adilabad District Congress Committee (DCC) president Naresh Jadhav, at a meeting in Hyderabad.
During the review, the Chief Minister asked Nirmal DCC president and Khanapur MLA Vedma Bojju to resolve differences among senior Congress leaders and former MLAs and ensure unity within the party in the wake of the sarpanch election results. He also directed all DCC presidents to work in close coordination with party leaders to strengthen the organisation.
Revanth Reddy gave specific instructions on consolidating the party at the grassroots level and preparing effectively for the remaining local body elections. He reportedly sought detailed inputs from the MLAs and the DCC president on village-level results and prevailing political equations.
Vedma Bojju, who is also the Nirmal DCC president, and Adilabad DCC president Naresh Jadhav submitted detailed reports on the sarpanch election outcomes. The Chief Minister specifically instructed Vedma Bojju to address internal differences and restore unity among Congress leaders and former MLAs in the Mudhole and Nirmal Assembly constituencies.
Revanth Reddy compared the election data submitted by the party leaders with his own assessments and raised queries over minor mismatches in some areas. However, he later expressed satisfaction, noting that the figures largely matched his data.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister also responded positively to representations on hardships being faced by Adivasi beneficiaries in the construction of Indiramma houses and instructed the concerned officials to look into the issue.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka assured Vedma Bojju that he would attend the Praja Darbar of the Nagoba Jatra, likely on January 22.
Bellampalli MLA Gaddam Vinod also submitted his report on the sarpanch election results and discussed the strengths and weaknesses observed during the polls.
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka further enquired about the status of the Chikmanvagu, Triveni Sangamam, Pulimadugu, and Kupti projects, recalling commitments made during his padayatra to modernise or complete the projects for the development of the tribal belt. He also discussed ongoing development works at the Keslapur temple.
