CM Revanth Seeks Quick Start to Musi Project
CM stressed that the Musi river basin should be developed keeping in view the needs of the next 100 years
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) and begin works on the prestigious Musi Rejuvenation Project at the earliest.
Reviewing the project with officials from the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department on Wednesday, the CM stressed that the Musi river basin should be developed keeping in view the needs of the next 100 years.
He examined designs of Gandhi Sarovar and suggested measures for developing the Gateway of Hyderabad, Gandhi Sarovar, road networks, and junctions. Revanth Reddy emphasized that plans must ensure environment-friendly and signal-free junctions.
Officials also briefed him on the development of Mir Alam Lake and the construction of an iconic bridge.
The review was attended by CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Special Chief Secretary (Industries) Jayesh Ranjan, CM Secretary Manik Raj, MA&UD Secretary (HMDA Area) Ilambarthi, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed, FCDA Commissioner K. Shashanka, HMWSSB MD Ashok Reddy, MRDCL MD EV Narasimha Reddy, JMD P. Gauthami, Ranga Reddy District Collector Narayana Reddy and other senior officials.
