CM Revanth Forms Panel for Digital Governance, Day 1 Outsourced Staff Pay
The initiative is also aimed to streamline the prompt payment of salaries to contract and outsourcing employees on the first of every month
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday announced the formation of a committee of officials to strengthen digital governance in Telangana. The main objective was to provide better services to the public and ensure welfare schemes reach beneficiaries directly through digital governance. The committee asked to submit report within 100 days.
The initiative is also aimed to streamline the prompt payment of salaries to contract and outsourcing employees on the first of every month similar to regular employees. The Chief Minister instructed the authorities to take action stringent against the constract and outsourcing agencies, which are flouting the government's norms.
Revanth Reddy was speaking at a review meeting on the problems being faced by contract and outsourcing employees here on Tuesday. He said that strict action must be taken against the agencies which were not paying salaries promptly to contract and outsourcing agencies even after the government had released.
The Chief Minister sought the details of the implementation of the digital governance and instructed the officials to formulate plans for digital governance and draft the necessary legislation. The CM stressed that the administrative system should move forward through full-scale digitisation.
Revanth Reddy enquired about the digitalisation of the data regarding contract and outsourcing employees along with regular government staff. The officials were ordered to digitise the entire data and ensure the salaries are paid on the first day of every month. The details of the contract and outsourcing employees in all departments including their salaries and bank account information should be digitised, the Chief Minister said.
