HANAMKONDA: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was focusing on the city’s future development and had directed officials to expedite underground drainage works, focus on the Outer Ring Road and improve road connectivity.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Naini said the Chief Minister had also reviewed connectivity between Khammam, Warangal and Karimnagar, road development linked to the proposed airport and plans for a major bus terminal.
He said the Chief Minister called for developing Warangal on the lines of Hyderabad, with emphasis on temple and forest tourism.
Naini said the government planned to dedicate the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital to the public as a Dasara gift. He said officials had been asked to prepare development plans keeping the city’s future requirements in mind.
Naini alleged that BRS leaders had benefited from the “22-A” issue and alleged irregularities concerning lands around KTR’s farmhouse. These claims were made by Naini and were not established facts.
He also criticised BRS and BJP leaders and warned Union Minister Bandi Sanjay against making further remarks about the Gandhi family.
DCC president Engala Venkat Reddy and others attended the press conference.
