Karimnagar: Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday laid the foundation stone for Vayuputra Sadan, a 96-room guest house for pilgrims, and the Veeramana Mandapam at the Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple. The projects are being funded with a ₹35.19 crore grant from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

The Deputy Chief Minister arrived by helicopter at the Nachupally JNTU helipad, where he was received by welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar, Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam and Jagtial district collector B. Satya Prasad. He later visited the temple and offered special prayers, describing Lord Anjaneya as his family deity (Ilavelpu) and recalling that the deity had given him a second life after a past accident.

The project aims to provide better facilities for thousands of devotees visiting the temple for Hanuman Deeksha and regular darshan. While Vayuputra Sadan will have 96 rooms to ease accommodation issues, the Veeramana Mandapam will enable about 2,000 devotees to perform their religious vows simultaneously.

Pawan Kalyan thanked Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TTD Board for approving the funds following his request. He also appreciated the Telangana government and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for their master plan to develop the Kondagattu temple.

Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister underlined the spiritual significance of the Giri Pradakshina, calling it a shield of protection for the country. He pledged to personally participate as a kar sevak to help clear the path for pilgrims and assured continued support for the temple’s future development. Welfare minister Adluri Laxman Kumar and MLA Medipally Satyam thanked the Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister for facilitating the TTD funding. They said the People’s Government of Telangana is committed to developing Kondagattu into a world-class spiritual centre on the lines of Tirumala, ensuring pilgrims no longer face accommodation difficulties.

AP Assembly Council Whip Pidugu Hari Prasad, TTD Board members B. Anandsai and B. Mahendar Reddy, TTD LAC chairman N. Shankar Goud, AP Police Housing Corporation chairman Kalyanam Shiva Srinivas and additional collector B. Raja Goud were among those present.
