Cheryala Tahsildar Held in Rs.70,000 Bribe Case

The tainted bribe amount of Rs.70,000 was recovered from the possession of Naik: ACB

Hyderabad: Korra Dileep Naik, who is a Tahsildar of Cheryala mandal in Siddipet District, was caught red-handed at his office by the sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.70,000 from the complainant for doing an official favour.

The bribe was demanded for processing 11 NALA conversion applications, eight of them were processed, pertaining to survey numbers 833/B, 833/C 833/D, 833/E, 834/8, 834/C, 834/D, 834/E admeasuring 30 guntas, at Nagapuri Village, in the names of Smt. Jamuna Kanakamma and others.

The tainted bribe amount of Rs.70,000 was recovered from the possession of Naik, the ACB officials said, adding that Naik performed his public duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
