Born and raised in the quaint village of Kanaparthi in Veenavanka mandal, Karimnagar district, Harish Kumar’s love for food was kindled in his family kitchen. Surrounded by the rich, vibrant culture of Telangana, he spent countless hours experimenting with traditional recipes — a practice that laid the foundation for his future in the culinary arts.
After completing his graduation, Harish moved to Hyderabad to turn his dream of becoming a professional chef into reality. He enrolled at the prestigious IACT & CAI, earning a Certificate Craft Course in Food Production that would equip him with the skills to excel in a competitive industry. This formal training, combined with his innate talent, opened doors to diverse culinary traditions — from the robust flavours of Hyderabadi, Punjabi, Rajasthani, and Marwadi cuisines to the refined techniques required for Chinese and Continental dishes.
In a candid interview with Deccan Chronicle, Chef Bangari reflected on his roots, saying, “Growing up in a small village taught me the importance of humility, dedication, and the power of dreams. Throughout his career, Chef Bangari has held prestigious roles as a Master Chef and Executive Chef in renowned restaurants both nationally and internationally. His culinary expertise has been showcased aboard Costa Cruise Lines in Italy, at Hotel One Continental and Quattro Ristorante in Mumbai, as well as at Amlun Café and Sorin Bistro in Hyderabad. His ability to blend healthy ingredients with sumptuous flavours has not only won him accolades but has also made him a sought-after culinary expert.
Chef Bangari’s illustrious career is further marked by his experiences serving dignitaries, government officials, and celebrities, including film actors and politicians, at various high-profile events.
