Chamala Tops TG MPs in Attendance, Etala Leads in Questions
Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has topped the members of Parliament from Telangana
Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has topped the members of Parliament from Telangana as he attended every sitting of the 18th Lok Sabha, according to performance data for Telangana MPs during the period from June 24, 2024, to April 4, 2025. BJP MP Etala Rajendar, on the other hand, asked the most number of questions among Telangana MPs at 80.
The data painted a mixed picture of the performance of MPs from Telangana in the Lok Sabha. While Chamala led the group with perfect attendance, Etala followed closely with 91.17 per cent attendance, D.K. Aruna (88.23 per cent), Dharmapuri Arvind (88.23 per cent), and the Congress’s Suresh Shetkar (86.76 per cent).
When it came to participation in debates, AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi stood out with the highest number at 21. Chamala secured second place with 17 debates, followed by Aruna (14) and Mallu Ravi (10).
In terms of questions raised, Chamala was just behind Etala with 79, followed by Aruna (73), Suresh Shetkar (62), and Arvind (59). On the lower end, Congress MPs Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy (8), Porika Balram Naik (13), and Mallu Ravi (28), along with the BJP’s Konda Vishweshwar Reddy (18), were among the least active.
Moderate performers in questions category included Congress's R. Raghuram Reddy (56), Owaisi (54), BJP’s M Raghunandan Rao (46), Godam Nagesh (40), and the Congress’s Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and Kadiyam Kavya (both at 31).
Debate participation at the bottom included Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy (0), Arvind (2), Balram Naik (3), Godam Nagesh (4), Kadiyam Kavya and Suresh Shetkar (5 each), Konda Vishweshwar Reddy (6), Raghunandan Rao and Vamsi Krishna (7 each), Raghuram Reddy (9), and Mallu Ravi (10).
