Cement Lining to NS Left Canal Damaged

 Nalgonda: Officials from the irrigation department started temporary repairs on the damaged cement lining of the Nagarjunasagar left canal at Alwala in Tirumalgiri (Sagar) mandal. The damage raised concerns over a potential breach of the canal’s earth bund, prompting both the revenue and irrigation departments to immediately assess the situation. Temporary repairs have been carried out to avert a breach, and a proposal for permanent repairs is set to be submitted to higher authorities.
