Hyderabad:Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) hosted a special lecture on cancer control, featuring Dr Prashant Mathur, director of the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR), as the chief guest.
Speaking on 'Cancer Control: Current Scenario, Strategies and Public Awareness,' Dr Mathur underlined the growing cancer burden in India and the urgency of preventive action. He stressed the importance of standardised data, stronger cancer registries and improved health information systems.
