Builders May Face Criminal Case Over Anjaiah Nagar Building Collapse
Two workers died and three others, including a resident of a neighbouring apartment, were injured when a seven‑storey under‑construction building collapsed in Anjaiahnagar, Gachibowli, on Saturday afternoon.
Hyderabad: Assistant City Planner S. Habeebunnisa recommended registering a criminal case against builders Fareen Siddiq and Mohammed Sajid for constructing an illegal building in Anjaiah Nagar, Gachibowli.
Two workers died and three others, including a resident of a neighbouring apartment, were injured when a seven‑storey under‑construction building collapsed in Anjaiahnagar, Gachibowli, on Saturday afternoon. The structure was being built on a 50‑sq yd plot over a nala.
The victims were identified as Umesh Khare and Mopath of Madhya Pradesh, tile workers at the site. The injured included a 25‑year‑old resident of Jayadarsini Residency, adjacent to the collapsed building, who was asleep when debris fell on him. He was rushed to hospital.
