BRS Seeks Breach of Privilege Against CM Revanth Reddy
There was a prima facie case of breach of privilege by the Chief Minister on all the matters during the discussion on irrigation in the House on Saturday.
Hyderabad: The BRS on Monday submitted a privilege motion for breach of privilege and contempt of the House against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy “for misguiding” the Assembly, making false statements on the stoppage of AP’s Rayalaseema lift irrigation scheme, for misquoting minutes of two Apex Council meetings on irrigation matters and for altering of the minutes, and for projecting a temporary Krishna water sharing arrangement between Telangana and AP as a binding agreement.
There was a prima facie case of breach of privilege by the Chief Minister on all the matters during the discussion on irrigation in the House on Saturday, the BRS said, and urged the Speaker to initiate the privilege motion. With the Speaker busy with the House proceedings, BRS MLAs K.P. Vivekanand Goud and others submitted their letter to the Assembly secretary.
