BRS Protests Paddy Procurement Delay

 Nalgonda: BRS members on Friday staged a dharna at Pochampally in Yadadri-Bhongir district, protesting delays in paddy procurement. The protesters poured paddy at Netaji Centre and raised slogans against the state government.

They alleged that procurement had not been expedited despite forecasts by the India Meteorological Department warning of rain and thunderstorms. According to them, paddy stocks at procurement centres were soaked due to rain, which they attributed to government inaction. The protest highlighted concerns over delays in procurement and potential losses to farmers.
