BRS Leaders Unable To Digest Facts About Debts: TPCC President

Karimnagar: TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that BRS leaders T. Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao were unable to digest that data about the borrowing indulged in by the BRS government were being highlighted by the Congress government. He said the previous government had borrowed huge amounts without foresight, resulting in a huge burden the public.
Speaking to mediapersons on the sidelines of a marriage function he was attending, Goud said that the Congress government since coming to power in December 2023 was paying Rs 60,000 crore every month towards interest on the money borrowed by the BRS government.
Anticipating that the BRS would mortgage even the state if it was re-elected, the people defeated the BRS in the 2023 polls, Goud contended.
Reacting to the Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s comments that the Congress and BRS were similar, the PCC president questioned to why the BRS government had extended its support to the BJP-led Centre for ten years.
