BRS Govt Will Guarantee 24x7 Drinking Water Supply in Hyd: KTR
He also urged party cadres to remain vigilant against alleged fake and duplicate votes registered by Congress and BJP during the special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
Hyderabad:BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao on Monday said that his party, after it is voted back to power, would ensure round-the-clock safe drinking water supply in Hyderabad.
The BRS leader, addressing a meeting of party cadres in Kukatpally, said people, during decades of the Congress rule before the Telangana formed, suffered long power cuts and drinking water scarcity. Rama Rao said, “It was our party president K. Chandrashekar Rao who with his determination ensured uninterrupted electricity supply. It will be again KCR who will provide 24-hour drinking water supply to Hyderabad. I will personally take the responsibility for ensuring the successful implementation of the programme after the BRS returns to power.”
Attacking the Congress government, Rama Rao said the ruling party cheated every section of society with unrealistic promises during the Assembly elections. And despite being in power for nearly two-and-a-half years, the Congress government had failed to spend even a single additional rupee for Hyderabad’s development. All Chief Minister Revanth Reddy does is to take false credit by inaugurating projects built during the previous BRS regime, including flyovers, hospitals and major infrastructure facilities.
He also urged party cadres to remain vigilant against alleged fake and duplicate votes registered by Congress and BJP during the special intensive revision of electoral rolls.
