BRS Failed to Serve Needy with Ration Cards: Congress

Warangal: Congress MLA Dr Bhukya Murali Naik has alleged that the previous BRS government overlooked the poor when it came to issuing ration cards during its decade-long rule in Telangana.
Addressing the people after distributing ration cards to the beneficiaries at the MLA camp office in Mahabubabad district on Tuesday, Murali Naik remarked that the present Congress government, headed by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, was diligently addressing all issues and committed to assisting the people in every way possible.
“The state government is providing ration cards to all eligible people. The ration card not only ensures food security for the poor but also offers multiple benefits. It is viewed as a rightful entitlement,” he said.
The MLA added that the distribution of 6 kg of high-quality rice to each individual per month through the ration cards by the Telangana government marks a significant achievement in India. The government is garnering public support for fulfilling its commitments in a limited timeframe, he said.
He suggested the Congress activists to challenge the Opposition’s misleading narratives and urged them to spread the government’s welfare initiatives with every household using pamphlet and other means, highlighting that the state government was working diligently for the welfare of the people.
