BRS Activists Clash At BC Cell Meeting In Peddapalli
BRS activists clashed during a BC cell meeting in Peddapalli after supporters objected to the event being held without inviting BC leaders.
BRS activists clashed during a constituency BC cell meeting held at RR Gardens in Rangampalli, Peddapalli town, on Saturday.
The meeting was organised under the aegis of Peddapalli constituency in-charge and former MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy.
Trouble began when supporters of BC leaders, including Ganta Ramulu and Dasari Usha, objected to the meeting being organised without inviting BC leaders. Followers of Manohar Reddy entered into an argument with the protesting activists.
The argument escalated, with members of both groups allegedly attacking each other and throwing chairs. Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control after intervening and convincing both groups to disperse.
BC leaders alleged that Manohar Reddy continued to hurt the interests of community leaders and activists despite his defeat in the election.
They also alleged that unilateral decisions by Manohar Reddy were affecting the party and said the situation in Peddapalli was different from that in other parts of the State, where political parties were giving priority to BCs.
