HYDERABAD: The BRS on Monday accused the state government of turning the state into a “commission raj” where only those willing to pay bribes get their dues cleared. In a statement, the BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said a protest on Monday in the Secretariat at the Chief Minister’s office was “a clear reflection of the government’s moral and administrative bankruptcy.”

Rama Rao alleged that the government was not hesitating to “clear multi-crore worth bills of big contractors, including those reportedly linked to Cabinet ministers, but small contractors are being harassed and denied payments merely because they refuse to pay 20 per cent commission.”

Demanding an independent investigation into the alleged commission racket, Rama Rao said previously too there was a similar protest in front of the Deputy Chief Minister’s chamber. “Now they’ve reached the CM’s office. What further proof is needed of this administration's decay,” he asked.
