Bodhan MLA Warns Against Ration Cards to Ineligible Persons
He said district officials are taking all necessary precautions to prevent ration cards from being issued to ineligible individuals. He also urged people to make full use of the free, quality rice scheme provided by the government.
Nizamabad: Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy warned that serious action would be taken if ineligible persons were found to have obtained new ration cards. He said that the state government is giving priority to issuing ration cards only to the genuinely needy. He also noted that poor families are receiving high-quality rice through the ration card system.
Sudarshan Reddy distributed new ration cards to beneficiaries at Yedapally mandal headquarters on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy places utmost importance on the welfare of poor and underprivileged communities. He criticised the previous BRS government, stating that the distribution of new ration cards was neglected for the past 10 years.
The MLA added that the free rice distribution scheme through ration cards has boosted the morale of poor families across the state.
