NIZAMABAD: Under the leadership of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) state committee, evidence of injustice to farmers in Nirmal and Nizamabad districts was presented to Kodanda Reddy, chairman of the Farmers and Agriculture Commission. The chairman promptly directed the district collectors of Nirmal and Nizamabad to investigate the allegations and ensure that justice was delivered.

Subsequently, the BKS Nizamabad district committee secured relief for farmer Bakka Pothanna of Sirpur village in Mopal mandal, who had suffered losses while selling paddy to government agencies due to official negligence. Through organised meetings and the presentation of all relevant documentation, BKS’s sustained advocacy compelled the responsible transport contractor to compensate the farmer with a payment of ₹60,000.
