HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao undertook a ‘Palle Nidra’ (night stay in the village) on Friday as part of the party’s Sampark Abhiyan outreach programme. He stayed at the residence of party worker Kavali Vamsi in Ambedkar Colony, Khanapur village, under the Chevella Assembly constituency.
The initiative, aimed at strengthening BJP’s grassroots presence, seeks to deepen engagement with rural communities by addressing local issues directly. Party leaders said it also forms part of the BJP’s strategy ahead of the upcoming local body elections to connect with voters, understand their concerns and consolidate its base in Telangana villages.
The programme saw active participation from district presidents Raj Bhopal Goud and Ratnam, former MLA Prabhakar Reddy, Ganesh and BJP youth leaders.
