BJP Stages Protest Over Rahul Gandhi’s Remarks
They alleged that people across the country are fed up with the attitude of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress is unable to accept that the son of a poor mother has held the Prime Minister’s position for 11 years: BJP leaders
KARIMNAGAR: The BJP leaders staged a protest and burnt an effigy of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi at Telangana Chowk in Karimnagar on Saturday, alleging that he used abusive language and made indecent comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during a public meeting held in Bihar. Speaking on the occasion, former city mayor Y. Sunil Rao, former deputy mayor Guggilla Ramesh, and district unit general secretary Tallapally Srinivas condemned Rahul Gandhi’s comments, alleging that the Congress party had sunk to a new low in politics.
They alleged that people across the country are fed up with the attitude of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress is unable to accept that the son of a poor mother has held the Prime Minister’s position for 11 years. The BJP leaders urged the people to condemn the indecent language used by Rahul Gandhi against Narendra Modi’s mother.
In a separate protest, the BJP leaders of Kothapalli mandal rural wing, under the leadership of mandal president Kunta Tirupati, also burnt an effigy of Rahul Gandhi, echoing the same sentiments. They demanded an immediate apology from Rahul Gandhi, stating that everyone should condemn the indecent language used against the Prime Minister’s mother.
