BJP Pledges To Uphold Ideals Of Papanna Goud, Thanks Government For Statue

HYDERABAD: The BJP on Monday said it was committed to carrying forward the ideals epitomised by Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud, who fought against oppression of the weak by the ruling classes. Party state president N. Ramchander Rao said that the inspiration derived from Papanna Goud’s life and work would guide the BJP party in its work.
Speaking after paying tributes to Papanna Goud at the party office on the occasion of his jayanti, Ramchander Rao said the BJP acknowledged that the government had taken note of the party’s demand to erect a statue honouring the great leader. “We welcome the government decision. The BJP was the first to demand that Papanna Goud’s statue be placed on Tank Bund. We thank the government for the decision and accepting the BJP’s demand,” he said.x
