Hyderabad:The BJP on Tuesday alleged that booth level officers (BLOs) were avoiding mandatory house-to-house visits in the city. Instead, they were found to be distributing enumeration forms related to ongoing SIR exercise ‘in bulk’ to AIMIM leaders at party organised camps set up in several constituencies of the Hyderabad district, the BJP alleged.

Party leaders including Telangana unit president N. Ramchaner Rao in a memorandum complained to the Telangana Chief Electoral Officer that the BLOs were also giving MIM leaders access to the ECI App to upload the filled enumeration forms.

The party noted that several voters, particularly in the GHMC and in the municipal corporations of Cyberabad, Malkajgiri, Warangal, and Karimnagar, had not received enumeration forms, and BLOs were finding it difficult to trace the houses.

In the Greater Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Malkajgiri municipal corporations, voters belonging to one family are listed under different polling booths, making it difficult for BLOs to visit the households, the party said.

While enumeration forms printed in English were being distributed in Hyderabad, mostly Telugu forms are being distributed in the districts. “In some areas, the BLOs are informing that some of the voter's enumeration forms are not printed, and hence they can fill Form 6 after July 30,” the BJP leaders added. This would require voters to enroll afresh.
