BJP Leaders Pay Tribute on Atal’s 101st Birth Anniversary
Kishan Reddy hailed Vajpayee as an intellectual, poet, and administrator who addressed the UN in Hindi, India's principal language.
Hyderabad: Union minister G. Kishan Reddy paid floral tributes to a portrait of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the state BJP state office, marking his 101st birth anniversary and Good Governance Day. Tributes were also offered at Vajpayee statues in Secunderabad Jubilee Bus Stand and Cantonment Park, part of nationwide BJP programmes.
Kishan Reddy hailed Vajpayee as an intellectual, poet, and administrator who addressed the UN in Hindi, India's principal language. Despite Congress toppling his government by one vote, Vajpayee resigned upholding morals, transformed India into a nuclear power amid global threats, and inspired youth as 'Yuwa Hrudaya Samrat'.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao accused the Congress and the BRS of degrading state politics. "CM Revanth Reddy speaks vengefully like ex-CM KCR, with vulgarity harming Telangana. Defectors trample ethics, while the BRS emptied treasuries making a wealthy state debt-ridden. Congress, in two years, turned it into a 'begging' state — no development despite 'Telangana Rising' and Davos trips, with zero foreign investments."
Rao called Vajpayee a symbol of value-based politics, never slipping in speech or insulting opponents. He credited Vajpayee for the mobile phone revolution, bringing cooking gas to homes, and building the Golden Quadrilateral. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, inspired by Vajpayee, schemes like 5kg free rice, rural roads, tap water, and toilets continue, advancing airports, ports, and industry. "Follow Vajpayee's path of values and integrity," Rao urged.
Union minister of state Bandi Sanjay Kumar participated in the event along with the party’s state general secretaries Thulla Veerender Goud, Dr N. Gautam Rao, Vemula Ashok, state secretary Baddam Maipal Reddy, Bangaru Shruti, Bandaru Vijayalakshmi, and others..
In Khammam, BJP national co-incharge for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka Dr. Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy felicitated senior leaders on Vajpayee's birth anniversary. He said Vajpayee's life and leadership guide the BJP and nation, stressing meaningful social service as true tribute. Reddy appealed to include Vajpayee's principles in school textbooks to pass his legacy to the next generation.
