HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday accused the Congress government of neglecting Hindu sentiments, alleging a disturbing pattern of temple attacks across the state had begun under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership.

Speaking at a public gathering, Rao pointed to the desecration of a place of worship at Malkajgiri and termed the incident a direct assault on the Hindu faith and claimed such acts were recurring in different regions, alongside violence against cow protectors.

“This is no coincidence but a dangerous pattern stemming from the Congress regime’s apathy towards Hindu safety and appeasement politics to woo a particular vote bank,” Rao asserted. He criticised the government, BRS leaders, and major media outlets for remaining silent on the Malkajgiri incident, alleging it reflected systemic disregard for atrocities against Hindus.

Rao described the Congress as being influenced by “Muslim League and Maoist sympathisers,” accusing it of showing disregard for Hindu emotions, beliefs, or spirituality. He warned that the BJP would not remain a silent spectator and vowed to fight for temple protection, Hindu honour, and cow safeguarding, framing it as a cultural battle rather than mere politics.
