BJP Chief Mocks at KCR as One-Time Password
Telangana BJP chief attacks BRS credibility, opposes Congress plan on hate speech bill
Hyderabad: State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Sunday called BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao a "one-time password" (OTP) in the state, saying his impact had weakened and dismissing his return to politics as irrelevant.
Speaking after Chandrashekar Rao held a press conference after a long gap on Sunday, Ramchander Rao argued that BRS lacked public credibility due to its alleged "deep-rooted corruption" during its regime, claiming people have realised the party's failures.
Ramchander Rao, in a statement, condemned Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's reported plan to introduce a hate speech bill on the lines of a similar controversial law in Karnataka. He accused Congress leaders of hypocrisy, alleging they indulge in "hatred campaigns" through anti-Sanatan remarks.
"Is it not hate speech when CM Revanth Reddy commented on Hindu gods or declared 'Congress is Muslims and Muslims are Congress' during the Jubilee Hills byelection," Rao questioned.
The BJP state chief claimed the proposed bill aims to harass BJP workers and target the party, vowing fierce opposition to any such move. "The BJP would oppose any hate speech bill by the Telangana Congress government," he declared, condemning the inclination outright.
