HYDERABAD: BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao on Monday announced that the party’s new working president Nitin Nabin would shortly tour the state. Rao expressed confidence that the visit would help consolidate the BJP’s position in the state.
Ramchander Rao said that Nabin, during their meeting, had offered concrete suggestions to strengthen the party through collective efforts and shared an action plan to build the organisation and bring the BJP to power.
On the leak of details from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent meeting with MPs, where PM Modi is believed to have pulled up representatives from Telangana, Ramchander Rao warned that those responsible for the leak would face strict disciplinary action. He stressed that all leaders must adhere to the party’s discipline and ideology.
The state BJP chief also demanded a special intensive revision of voter lists in Telangana, alleging that illegal Pakistani and Bangladeshi voters were present in the state and must be removed to safeguard democracy.
Targeting BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, Ramchander Rao said attending Assembly sessions was the basic duty of every MLA. “KCR must attend regularly like others,” he remarked. He criticised the BRS for creating hype around its leader’s attendance, likening it to “Gabbar Singh escaping from jail,” and described it as contrary to democratic principles.
