Hyderabad: RSS sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat kicked off his two-day visit to Hyderabad with meetings aimed at fostering social harmony as part of the organisation's centenary-year Samajik Samarasta initiative.

Bhagwat addressed around 150 former and incumbent IAS and IPS officers and judges at Jala Vihar, where the 90-minute session focused on societal engagement. Later in the evening, he met approximately 140 Tollywood personalities — primarily actors and directors — at actor Venkatesh's residence, an event coordinated by Rajya Sabha member and screenwriter-director V. Vijayendra Prasad.

On Sunday, Bhagwat will address the ‘100 Years of Sangha Journey – New Horizons’ at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). He will deliver a keynote lecture in the first session marking the RSS centenary, followed by a question and answer session in the second.

Invitations have been extended to about 1,450 prominent figures including industrialists, entrepreneurs, legal luminaries, NGO leaders, political representatives, caste groups, and nomadic tribes. These events are planned as part of RSS efforts to connect with diverse societal sections during its landmark year.
