Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed the officials to conduct the Telangana Formation Day celebrations early in the pre-noon session, in the wake of extreme heat wave in the state. 

He asked the officials to begin the celebrations by 8.30 am at the Parade Grounds on June 2, celebrated as Telangana Formation Day. The celebrations, including hoisting the national flag, should be completed by 10.00 am.

He directed the officials to take all measures to ensure that the guests and common people attending the event do not face inconvenience due to the immense heat.

The Telangana Formation Day was celebrated for the first time on June 2, 2014, commemorating the state's official bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh.
