Basar IIIT Students Oppose Restrictions On Remedial Exams

ADILABAD: Students of Basar IIIT have opposed a circular issued by the authorities imposing restrictions on those appearing for remedial examinations to improve their marks.
The students said many passed-out students appear for remedial examinations and questioned how those staying in other districts and travelling long distances could reach the campus on the day of the examination.
Earlier, passed-out students were allowed to stay in the hostels for a few days before the examination.
According to the circular issued by the associate dean, student welfare, students appearing for remedial examinations must report to the campus only on the day of the examination and vacate their rooms immediately after the examination.
The authorities also issued a procedure for students leaving the campus. Students have to report to the warden’s office outpost and submit an outpass request letter. They must also collect the hostel room allotment form from the hostel supervisor or caretaker while leaving and obtain the fee payment receipt from the scholarship section.
