Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar— DC file

KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home Bandi Sanjay Kumar warned that party corporators would be blacklisted if found involved in corruption. Advising corporators to stay away from collections, he made it clear that there was no question of tolerating corporators and leaders who extracted money from shop owners or demanded money.

Expressing anger at workers for staying away from party activities, he said leaders who did not work for the party would not get priority. Sanjay Kumar made these comments here on Sunday while participating in a preparatory meeting for BJP national president Nitin Nabin’s visit to Karimnagar scheduled for November 5.

Nitin Nabin is set to take part in a rally in Karimnagar town from Gandhi statue to Kaman. The district unit of BJP is organising the rally with the slogan ‘Loktantr Bachao, Arajakt Hatao’. The rally, starting at Gandhi statue, will conclude at Kaman after passing through Vysaya Bhavan, Tower Circle and Sastry Road.

Party leaders are planning to mobilise about 50,000 people for the rally. The Union minister appealed to party leaders and workers to make the national president’s tour a grand success by mobilising people in a big way.
