Union minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has initiated a special programme in Karimnagar Parliamentary constituency, marking the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule in the country. He launched Swachcha Pathashala as part of which all the government schools in the constituency would be cleaned.

On Saturday morning, he immersed himself in the programme by cleaning the Kusuma Ramaiah ZP High School in Sircilla. He cleaned the classrooms with a broom and made them tidy with water, to match the cleanliness in private schools. The Union minister cleaned every nook and corner with utmost care, which surprised the staff and students at the school.

At the same time, Bandi promised to provide free bicycles to 10th Class students and also pay their examination fee from his salary.

Responding to Bandi's call, the BJP activists, NGOs, and a few local people also joined the mission. They bought buckets and brooms with their own money and began cleaning the schools. The activists, reportedly, chalked out the action plan for implemenation of the initiative during Tiffin Baithak on Friday.

Speaking to the mediapersons, Bandi said that conservation of environment was every individual's responsibility. He appreciated the teachers, students and locals for getting involved in the Swachcha Pathashala programme voluntarily. From Monday, rallies would be held in all villages and mandals to increase enrolment of students in government schools, he added.
