Sanjay questioned the need for ruling party leaders to visit privately owned land: Reports
KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday alleged that the Congress had approached the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the disqualification of Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender fearing defeat in the by poll.
Speaking to the media after handing over tricycles and fogging machines to municipal sanitation staff at the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar office, Sanjay said the Congress was not a competitor to the BJP and that the contest would be between the BJP and the BRS.
He also alleged that people were unhappy with the ruling Congress.
Commenting on Nagender’s comparison with the Khairatabad Ganesh idol, Sanjay said the MLA should remember that the idol would eventually be immersed and advised him to be cautious. He also said the Congress would face "political immersion” in the Khairatabad bypoll.
On Congress leaders visiting BRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s farmhouse, Sanjay questioned the need for ruling party leaders to visit privately owned land. He said that if there was government land at the farmhouse, officials could take possession of it.
Sanjay also demanded that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy make public documents to substantiate his allegation that the KCR family and BRS leaders had grabbed land worth ₹1 lakh crore.
