Attempt to Silence BJP Critics: KTR

Answering questions from reporters at a press meet on the subject, the BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said before talking about the Bill, what needs to be addressed is the question of 60 odd leaders from various parties and facing criminal charges joining the BJP and going through the ‘washing BJP machine’ with nothing more heard about the cases they were involved in.

Hyderabad: The BRS has said the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025 introduced in the Lok Sabha by Union Home Minister Amit Shah which seeks to remove from their posts chief ministers or even the prime minister who is detained by the police for 30 days in any case, seems more like an attempt to coerce those challenging the BJP or questioning it to change their party affiliation to the Bharatiya Janata Party.

“What about all these people? That needs to be addressed first. This appears to be yet another attempt to silence all BJP critics,” Rama Rao said.
