Athmakur Police Arrests Four Ganja Peddlers; Seize 3 KG Ganja

NALGONDA: Athmakur (S) police arrested four persons for allegedly possessing ganja on the outskirts of Athmakur in Suryapet district on Monday and seized three kilograms of the contraband worth ₹3 lakh.
Superintendent of police K. Narsimha said the accused were identified as Veeraboina Bharath and Kodidala Shiva of Nemmikal, Are Vijay of Kommala and Chevula Manoj of Aregudem. Acting on credible information, police took the accused into custody and seized the ganja during a raid at a stone crusher unit on the outskirts of Athmakur.
Police said the accused had procured the ganja from a person in Sileru in Andhra Pradesh and planned to sell it locally for profit. Suryapet Rural Circle Inspector Rajasekhar and Sub-Inspector Srikanth were present at the media briefing.
