Aruna Assures Fair Compensation For Railway Land Acquisition

As many as 128 farmers are losing 27.4 acres of land for the project

HYDERABAD: Mahbubnagar BJP MP D.K. Aruna has appreciated farmers for voluntarily coming forward to part with their land for the railway doubling project between Dhone and Mahbubnagar and promised to secure compensation at market value.

She was speaking at a programme to distribute compensation cheques for families displaced by land acquisition at Konnur in Madanapuram mandal of Wanaparthy district. As many as 128 farmers are losing 27.4 acres of land for the project. Aruna said she would discuss the issue with the collector and work to ensure that the displaced farmers receive compensation in accordance with the market value of their land.

Aruna said proposals had been sent for the construction of railway overbridges at locations across the erstwhile Mahbubnagar district where people were facing difficulties due to railway gates. The Central government was currently sanctioning funds for the construction of railway overbridges with 100 per cent financial support, she said.

Mahabubnagar MLA Madhusudhan Reddy, RDO Subramanyam and BJP district president Srinivas Reddy attended the programme.
