Anand Meets Former Maoists, Hears their Grievances in Mulugu

Hyderabad: Director-General of Police, CV Anand interacted with former Maoists in Mulugu district and heard their representations regarding grievances relating to housing, legal assistance, employment opportunities and financial support.

“I assured them that their concerns would be taken up with the government and that all possible support would be extended to them,” he said.

“I informed them that we are ready to provide the requisite skills to help them secure employment and build a stable life, and urged them to refrain from any suspicious or unlawful activity and to reintegrate fully into mainstream society,” Anand said.

“Health cards were distributed to them on this occasion. Further, as part of the State government's Surrender and rehabilitation policy, I also distributed cheques towards reward money to recently surrendered Maoist cadres,” he added.
