Nalgonda: Alternative arrangements have been made to ensure uninterrupted supply of essential medicines to the public in Nalgonda district in view of the nationwide bandh call given by the All India Chemists and Medical Shops Association.
District drugs inspector K. Sampath Kumar said instructions had been issued to managements of medical shops across all towns in the district to keep at least two private medical shops open in major towns and one in smaller towns to avoid inconvenience to the public.
He said at least two private pharmacy outlet would remain open in every town.
Sampath Kumar added that pharmacies attached to all government and private hospitals in the district would function as usual to provide emergency services.
He appealed to the public not to panic, stating that adequate measures had been taken to ensure medicines remained available through selected shops.
