Hyderabad: Popular film actor Allu Arjun’s father Allu Arvind on Monday called on the nine-year-old boy Sritej, who suffered injuries in the stampede at Sandhya 70 MM in Chikkadpally during the screening of Pushpa-2 movie, and enquired about his health condition.

Allu Arvind, who is also a film producer, went to the Neurorehabilitation center, where Sritej was admitted and enquired with doctors about his health condition.

On April 29, KIMS doctors Dr Chetan R Mundada and Dr Vishnu Tej Pudi said that Sritej was being discharged to Neurorehabilitation center for continued neurorehab services. He is taking oral feeds and is not requiring any oxygen or respiratory support.

“Our family is eagerly waiting for the complete recovery of Sritej,” Arvind said, exuding confidence that the boy would soon lead a normal life. Doctors informed Arvind that the boy was responding to the treatment given to him at the centre.

The Sandhya 70MM stampede, which occurred on December 4, 2024, resulted in the death of a woman M Revathi and causing injury to her son Sritej during Pushpa-2 movie premiere show screening. Sritej was rushed to KIMS after he became unconscious in the stampede. He was admitted to the Neurorehabilitation center on April 29.
