All Telangana Farmers to Get Bhudhar Cards in Two Years: Ponguleti

Nalgonda: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Thursday announced that Bhudhar cards, Telangana’s new Aadhaar-like ownership documents with unique geo-referenced ID, would be distributed to every farmer owning land in the state in the next two years.
Speaking at Rythu Ashirvada Sabha held at Raghunadhapuram in Khammam district, he pointed out that the Congress government has brought in a revolutionary change in land through its Bhu Bharathi online land record management portal.
After the upcoming survey of lands, Bhudhar cards with a map of the land owned would be distributed to all farmers of the state in two years. Ponguleti pointed out that survey of lands is going on in 70 villages of each district as part of a pilot project. Based on the survey, Bhudhar cards will be issued to each farmer.
Ponguleti stated that the Congress government has so far filled 71,000 vacant posts. Going forward, it will release a notification for recruitment to fill up another 17,000 vacant posts.
In the interim, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy distributed Bhudhar cards to 476 farmers at a public meeting in Mudgumad in Madhira assembly constituency. He also released the final instalment of Rythu Bharosa amounts totalling to ₹9,000 crore into the bank accounts of farmers in the state.
Those who attended the meeting include Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Telangana Legislative Assembly speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Telangana State Legislative Council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Agriculture minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, Irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, and Roads and Buildings minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy.
