Adilabad Police Seize 15 Quintals of Spurious Detergent
The accused were identified as Shivaji Jawale (40) and Ramarao Wankari Ingale (40), both from Chandrapur, Maharashtra; Rupesh Agarwal (36) of Adilabad town and Afasar Salath of Amaravati in Maharashtra.
Adilabad: The Adilabad police seized 15 quintals of spurious detergent worth Rs.1 lakh that was being transported in a van to Adilabad town from Amaravati in Maharashtra by Rupesh Agarwal of Adilabad on Sunday. Police registered a case against four persons, arresting three of them, while one managed to abscond.
The accused were identified as Shivaji Jawale (40) and Ramarao Wankari Ingale (40), both from Chandrapur, Maharashtra; Rupesh Agarwal (36) of Adilabad town and Afasar Salath of Amaravati in Maharashtra.
Disclosing the details to the media, Adilabad DSP Jeevan Reddy informed that Rupesh Agarwal procured spurious Ghadi detergent from Amaravati and sold it to local businessmen in Adilabad as well as traders in Jiviti, across the Maharashtra border.
Upon receiving information, Two Town SI Vishnu Prakash raided the area and found a SUV carrying counterfeit detergent packets of the Ghadi brand at Tamsi bus stand.
