Aadhaar e-sign to Make Registrations Easy, Says Ponguleti

Hyderabad: Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday stated that the Aadhaar e-signature system will soon be implemented for property registrations across the state, enabling the registration process to be completed within 15 minutes.

He said the new system would be launched immediately as a pilot programme in sub-registrar offices in Armoor of Nizamabad district and Kusumanchi of Khammam district. In the context of introducing an online slot booking system for property registrations across the state from June 2, Srinivas Reddy directed officials to implement the Aadhaar e-signature system as quickly as possible.

Srinivas Reddy held a review meeting with the officials of stamps and registration department at the Secretariat on Monday, where the implementation of the slot booking system in the entire state from June 2, and the deployment of additional registrars in sub-registrar offices with heavy workloads were discussed.

The minister stated that, along with the slot booking system, the introduction of the Aadhaar e-signature system would further speed up the registration process. He also directed officials to take precautionary measures to prevent any technical issues as the slot booking system was being introduced across the state.

Additional sub-registrars have been appointed in the sub-registrar offices of Patancheru, Yadagirigutta, Gandipet, Suryapet, Jadcherla, Mahbubnagar, Wanaparthy and Gadwal.
