A Decade Later, Kazipet Excise Station Signboard Still Displays Old District Name

Nearly a decade after Warangal Urban district was renamed Hanumakonda district, the signboard at Kazipet excise police station continues to display the old name.

While the district name and administrative divisions have changed, the signboard outside the police station still carries the former name. Government records, however, use the new district name.

The outdated signboard has raised questions about whether the renaming orders were implemented at the station or whether the change was overlooked.

Local residents have urged the authorities to update the signboard to reflect the district’s current name.
