99-Day Pragati Plan Rolled Out Across Nizamabad
545 gram sabhas, 146 ward meetings held
NIZAMABAD: Gram sabhas in 545 village panchayats and ward sabhas in 146 municipal wards were conducted across Nizamabad district on Thursday as part of the “Praja Government – Pragati Plan” 99-day action programme, officials said.
The meetings were held between 7.30 am and 10.30 am in view of the summer season, with arrangements including shamianas, drinking water, seating and complaint boxes. Officials said public representatives and residents participated in large numbers.
District collector Ila Tripathi supervised the arrangements and attended the gram sabha at Mosra mandal headquarters and ward sabhas in Bodhan municipality.
Nizamabad Rural MLA R. Bhoopathi Reddy attended the gram sabha at Mentrajpally in Dichpally mandal, while Mayor Akula Uma Rani participated in a ward sabha in the municipal corporation.
State agriculture commission member Gadugu Gangadhar and additional collector Kiran Kumar attended the gram sabha at Mamidipally in Makloor mandal. In-charge additional collector (local bodies) Dileep Kumar took part in the meeting at Tanakurd in Mopal mandal.
State Urdu Academy chairman Taher Bin Handan, State Cooperative Union Limited chairman Manala Mohan Reddy and former MLC V. Gangadhar Goud attended the gram sabha at Rampur in Dichpally mandal.
Armur sub-collector Abhigyan Malviya and Bodhan sub-collector Vikas Mahato also participated in gram sabhas in their respective jurisdictions.
Officials said the programme was aimed at direct public engagement and grievance collection at the grassroots level.
