95% Works of Kazipet Railway Manufacturing Unit Completed: Kishan Reddy

Hyderabad: The Railway Manufacturing Unit (RMU) under construction in Kazipet is nearing completion.
With 95 percent of the work already completed, the unit will be inaugurated soon. The RMU will not only increase the capacity of Indian Railways but will also contribute to industrial growth in the state, Union Coal Minister G Kishan Reddy said in a post on ‘X’.
Explaining the highlights of the unit, Kishan Reddy said the cost of the RMU is Rs.521.36 crore and 95 per cent of the works were completed and added that works that have reached the final stage.
The unit, being established over an area of 160 acres, will manufacture various types of railway coaches and wagons along with modern intercity trains. A 13.15-kilometer-long internal railway track network has also been prepared to connect this center to the main railway line.
