9 killed as lorry overturns in Annamayya district

Hyderabad: Nine persons died after a lorry loaded with mangoes overturned at Reddypalle Cheruvukatta in Annamayya district in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday night.

The accident occurred when the lorry was proceeding towards Railwaykoduru in Rajampet. The victims were mangoes cutting workers. On receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the spot and rushed the injured to the nearby hospital.

The police handed over the seven bodies to the family members after an autopsy at the government hospital in the district. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and grief over the death of nine people in the road accident in Annamayya district.
