84 IFS Rankers Shine Under Bhagwat Mentorship
Bhagawat congratulated all successful candidates and emphasised that true success must remain rooted in public service, discipline and humility
HYDERABAD: The Indian Forest Service Examination 2025 results, declared on May 8, brought immense pride to Telangana and the civil services fraternity across the country, as a significant number of successful candidates were mentored by Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat, IPS, DGP (Law and Order), Telangana.
Of the 148 candidates selected nationwide, 84 aspirants received interview guidance and mentorship under Bhagwat’s leadership, reflecting his exceptional commitment to shaping and encouraging future civil servants.
Among the notable achievers from Telangana is Challa Yamini, who secured All India Rank 119. She is the daughter of head constable Challa Yadgiri of Suryapet Rural Police Station, Telangana. Her achievement has brought pride to the Telangana Police Department and the state.
Another distinguished achiever is Pawar Akshay Haribhau, who secured All India Rank 81. He hails from Pathardi in the Ahilyanagari district of Maharashtra, the native region of Mahesh Bhagwat.
Adding further glory to this accomplishment, candidates mentored through this initiative produced the All India Rank 1 topper in the Indian Forest Service examinations consecutively in 2023, 2024 and 2025, showcasing a rare legacy of excellence, dedication and consistent guidance.
On Saturday, Bhagwat expressed gratitude to all mentors, including senior officers and academicians from across the country, who contributed to this initiative. He congratulated all successful candidates and emphasised that true success must remain rooted in public service, discipline and humility.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, Bhagwat encouraged aspirants who could not succeed this time to reassess their preparation strategy positively once the marks memo becomes available. He reminded them that UPSC results alone do not define an individual’s life or future.
